Getting to know the town

Upon our arrival to the town of Slavoince, we had a hearty lunch (cabbage soup, of course!) and a quick walk around the town. Slavonice is about a kilometer from the Czech/Austrian border, also known as the Iron Curtain during Cold War times. This physical border has also created a nearly invisible ecological corridor of plants and animals that spans 1300 kilometers from the Baltic to the Black Sea. It's unique situation among this European Greenbelt, as well as the long history of this town makes for a prime opportunity for Landscape Design that focuses on Sustainable solutions that can be applied to many other locations along this Greenbelt.

First walk around the city.
