Tunnels of Slavonice

The Medieval town of Slavonice created tunnels about 700 years ago, first for protection and storage, then eventually for sewage and groundwater transportation. The tunnels span across the city and under all the houses of the prominent and wealthy members of the city. The tunnels are about 7 meters underground and at times are only about four feet tall by two feet wide. Watch your head!

Outside, in daylight.
